Ideal place for a 2-night stay. Superior hotel, it was very clean, and the staff was loyal. We were offered superior king room with a flat-screen TV and a writing table which were very good. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Cantina that was only 5 minutes' walk away;))

We rented 2 rooms 1 was ok with 2 double beds the other was a small room with 1 bed and barely room to meet.We found out later that the little room was rented for $20 less a night and we asked them about it in the morning and they told us that it should have been nagotiated the night before. Will not go back for that reason.

The hotel was convenient in its location. The room we stayed in was clean and functional. The staff were responsive to my requests.
The room that I reserved was advertized as a double room with 2 beds. The room that I received was a very small room with one double bed. I was told that this was a problem with Booked.net. Luckily it was only my son and me on this trip so the air mattress that the hotel provided worked out fine. If my wife had been along, this major disconnect in advertizing would have registered on the Richter scale. Also there was some serious noise from the pipes throughout the night.

The location was excellent and the price was more affordable than other options in the area.
The condition of the atrium with the roof under repair and the torn tarp draped above the pool with rainwater collected in puddles was unacceptable. The open pool/atrium area surrounding the guest rooms created a tremendous echo and it was exceptionally noisy. There was also substantial noise behind the hotel during the night. The quality of the room furnishings was disappointingly low. For the quality/condition of the room, the price was unreasonably high.

This was the second time we stayed at the Downtowner. We really enjoyed our first stay and it is why we decided to stay again. You cannot beat the location. The bonus was the staff; everyone pleasant and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean, not the ritz but very comfortable. We enjoyed the races while visiting Saratoga as well. While the view may not be romantic, the location allows for walking to anything easy.

Location
I could not move into one of my 3 rooms, while, at the same time my friends were changing room sizes/# of beds to be similar with my reservation, and were able to check right in.

Location was excellent between the 2 race tracks. Staff at the front desk was extremely pleasant and very helpful.
Rooms were tiny for the money that I paid for. Old fashion still using a regular key for the door. If you dont get an outside room its like being in an inside cabin on a cruise ship. Parking is a major problem. If you cant park at the hotel you need to go to a public lot behind the building.

The hotel is really old There is no desk in the room The price you pay for what you get is far too expensive

Early breakfast
There was a brawl outside my window on the stairs outside my door at 4 am when I had to get up and be at the dressage show at 6am. It was loud prior to the brawl well after midnight
